I had the privilege of participating in an AMAZINGLY gorgeous styled shoot last weekend at the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Those who have been there know what a beautiful (but sometimes crowded), place that is! The weather was beautiful, the hired models were stunning, and all the details were just perfection!!!
I haven’t done a styled shoot in years, So I was excited, and a little nervous! Often times, styled shoots are for those just getting into the business who are building images for their portfolio, or who are wanting more experience in leading or directing others in a no-pressure environment. I am neither of those things, as Ive been shooting weddings for years, and anyone who has worked with me sure knows that I have NO problems being the boss and directing others- lol!!
For me, this session was about being able to be creative, shooting for what I wanted to capture, instead of what my clients hired me to do. Often times, those are one and the same, but it was really nice to be able to just shoot, with no expectations, demands, and just be creative and have fun! I LOVE how these turned out, so I’m excited to share!!! (ill try not to overwhelm and overshare- but honestly- its going to be hard not sharing 1000 images of this one).
And as always…
Joie de Vivre!
